My background and experience -
Engaging in therapy can help you identify your strengths and build skills that will allow you to meet changes and challenges in life. I would be honored to support you along this journey.
I have a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Carpinteria, California. Fully licensed as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the State of Washington, I currently work outside of my private practice as a school-based mental health support specialist. I also contract with Washington State University to teach family, parent, and youth courses designed to increase family strengths and enhance child development. My 6 years of experience in the field of mental health also includes working in hospice providing grief support services to families, running summer grief camps, and facilitating grief support groups for children, child loss, widows/widowers, and sudden, traumatic loss.
In addition to my work, I enjoy volunteering. I am a member of the Providence Hospice and Homecare Foundation Board of Snohomish County, and a Committee Member for the SnoCo Children Youth and Family Wellness Fair.
SERVICES I OFFER
Please note, I offer a sliding fee scale on a limited basis. If a reduced fee would be helpful, just let me know
Challenges and changes effect families as a whole. I can work with your family to establish and reach common goals, build communication and regard, and develop core skills. Call for a consultation today.
Facing challenges and changes as a youth can be especially difficult. I work with kids aged 10 - 17 for support socially, emotionally, and behaviorally. This work often includes focus on self-awareness and self-management, developing relationship skills, and practicing responsible decision making. I often support youth around LGBTQ issues and school issues and attendance. Call for a consultation today.
I would be honored to support you on your journey. My individual work with adult clients is rooted in depth psychology. This means I will help you take the time to look deeply at and explore unconscious motives and processes. We will explore any places in your life where you may feel stuck, and work together creatively to build you new pathways to healing. My approach to individual counseling includes dreamwork and art therapy. Call today so we can individualize a plan for your journey.
Being on your child's care team can include being an advocate for them outside of the therapy office. If this is something that may benefit you, let's talk further.
